Job summary of the Electronic Hardware Engineer:

Our client, a developer of cutting‑edge power technologies, is looking for an Electronic Hardware Engineer to join their growing team. In this position, you’ll be working with a variety of PCBs to create new design solutions for next-generation needs. This is an opportunity to gain next‑level hardware development skills by working with senior‑level engineers to create innovative solutions. The company is an established firm that has made a significant investment in this technology and the resources to develop it.

Responsibilities of the Electronic Hardware Engineer:

  • Evaluate component choices for replacement in existing designs
  • Select replacement parts
  • Develop schematics covering assigned areas of responsibility and lead PCB layout
  • Review circuit layout and release to fabrication
  • Debug prototype circuit cards and verify correct operation
  • Perform design verification tests and execute and document results
  • Perform testing in environmental chambers
  • Create engineering change notification documentation for review
  • Participate as a team member on development projects and team meetings
Qualifications
  • BSEE with 2+ years of experience in circuit design and layout.
  • Experience with both analog and digital hardware, including simulations (Pspice, PSIM, etc.)
  • Knowledge of PCB layout software such as Allegro, Altium, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of board components, with the ability to develop multiple options, consider alternatives, etc., for PCB development.
  • FPGA experience is a plus.
  • Solid communication skills, with a proven ability to work without strict oversight.
