Senior Mechanical Engineer

Role Summary

Our client, a leading engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of HVAC and plumbing system projects across commercial, institutional, and government environments. This role combines advanced technical design responsibilities with project leadership, client interaction, and mentorship of junior engineering staff.

The position requires a licensed Professional Engineer with extensive experience managing mechanical design projects from concept through construction while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

• Lead mechanical system design for HVAC and plumbing projects from concept through construction documentation.

• Manage project budgets, schedules, and coordination across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Oversee technical design work using industry-standard engineering and modeling tools.

• Support proposal development and contribute to business development activities.

• Serve as a primary technical resource for project teams and clients.

• Mentor junior engineers and support the professional development of engineering staff.

• Maintain clear communication with internal teams, clients, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

• 10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience
  , preferably in consulting or building systems design.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation software

• Strong project management, communication, and client service skills

• Experience delivering projects in commercial, institutional, or government sectors
