Founded in 2009, RSC2, Inc. is a Small Business Administration (SBA) Certified HUBZone Professional Services company headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. RSC2 provides breakthrough expertise, support services, and technologies to make operations, programs and systems of record perform better. Our professional staff is trained to provide world‑class services to all types of customers. We uphold the integrity and quality of our work so you can expect only the best from us.
We are seeking a PED Integration/Dataflow Engineer to support the Army’s Product Director – Sensors Aerial Intelligence (PD SAI) within PEO IEW&S, with a primary focus on the High Accuracy Detection and Exploitation System (HADES) program. In this role, you will design and integrate end-to-end PED architectures and dataflows that connect manned and unmanned airborne ISR sensor payloads to ground intelligence networks, ensuring timely, secure, and reliable delivery of ISR data to analysts and commanders.
The position requires strong software engineering skills to monitor mission user interfaces and extract real‑time data from enterprise systems, including data logging, telemetry extraction, scripting, and developing tools that pull data from databases or services to support intelligence workflows and mission execution. You will work closely with government engineers, program managers, and industry partners to ensure PED solutions meet operational requirements and interoperate across the Army’s intelligence enterprise.
- Design and implement robust PED system architectures for various AISR platforms.
- Ensure architecture is scalable, secure, and compliant with Army standards for multi‑domain intelligence sharing.
- Engineer and optimize data pipelines and networks for real‑time ISR data distribution, selecting appropriate data transfer protocols, and configuring satellite, radio, and terrestrial links.
- Integrate airborne sensor outputs with ground‑based processing and exploitation systems such as DCGS-A to enable end‑to‑end functionality.
- Support and sometimes lead system integration lab tests, field demonstrations, and flight test events to validate PED and dataflow performance under operational conditions.
- Provide engineering support during the fielding of new sensor payloads and PED capabilities to operational units.
- Assist in monitoring system performance after deployment and recommend upgrades or adjustments to improve data flow, cybersecurity posture, or reliability.
- Collaborate daily with government stakeholders, industry partners, system and software engineers, network architects, and cybersecurity specialists to align PED integration solutions with mission needs and program schedules.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert on PED infrastructure and data dissemination challenges, advising Army program managers and senior engineers on emerging issues and potential improvements.
- Active DoD Top Secret/SCI eligibility.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (preferred).
- Eight years of experience in systems engineering, network engineering, or software integration for defense or intelligence systems.
- Prior experience with airborne ISR platforms or sensor/PED systems, including developing or integrating systems for aerial imaging sensors, signals intelligence payloads, or intelligence analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination frameworks and technologies.
- Proficiency in dataflow engineering, including designing networks and data pipelines for large data volumes.
- Familiarity with ISR data formats and standards and protocols for data dissemination.
- Hands‑on experience with integrating systems via APIs, message buses, or middleware.
- Knowledge of Army intelligence systems such as DCGS-A, tactical radios, SATCOM links, and cross‑domain solutions.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail in a complex systems environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Self‑motivated and capable of leading technical initiatives independently.
- Strong desire to support the Army mission by delivering high‑quality technical solutions under strict deadlines and evolving requirements.
