Lead Bonding Quality Engineer
As the Lead Bonding Quality Engineer, you will manage all Bonding Quality functions for a specific program within Bonding operations, ensuring engineering and regulatory requirements are met using Six Sigma methodologies. You will be part of a cross‑functional technical and operations team focused on achieving business objectives.
Responsibilities- Manages all Quality functions of assigned program(s) or area(s) with guidance.
- Acts as the point of contact for program inspectors.
- Has a general understanding of AS9100 and/or NADCAP requirements.
- Eliminates process variation and product defects through creative solutions.
- Uses Root Cause, Corrective Action tools (PFMEA, DMAIC, Apollo, 5 WHYs, 8D, etc.) with guidance.
- Processes all nonconformance items and workflows in a timely manner.
- Takes on training opportunities as they arise.
- Solicits weekly prioritization of tasks and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
- Takes direction from cross‑functional team members to execute support actions.
- Provides process improvement and variation reduction expertise (product/process capability) as required.
- Applies statistical and statistical process control principles to improve quality.
- Supports manufacturing groups in designing, implementing, and documenting procedures for process control, improvement, testing, and inspection.
- Demonstrates excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, and statistical software tools).
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 10 years manufacturing or quality leadership experience. A degree in an appropriate science, engineering, or engineering technology field is preferred.
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 15 years manufacturing or production quality experience is required.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of ISO
9000 or AS9100. - Positive attitude and leadership characteristics.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and multitask.
- Capability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools.
- Ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds, experience, and education levels.
$89,200 to $127,300 per year.
