We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support HVAC and MEP design for commercial and institutional facility projects. This role is focused on mechanical building systems, construction documentation, design coordination, and project support using Revit and AutoCAD.
Role Focus- HVAC and mechanical system design
- MEP coordination for commercial and institutional buildings
- Revit and AutoCAD drawing production
- Load calculations, equipment layouts, and ductwork design
- Construction documents, specifications, and project support
- Develop mechanical drawings, models, details, schedules, and construction documents.
- Design HVAC systems, ductwork layouts, equipment selections, and related mechanical infrastructure.
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations, ventilation calculations, and basic energy code evaluations.
- Coordinate mechanical design with architectural, electrical, plumbing, structural, and civil teams.
- Support design reviews, code reviews, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
- Review existing mechanical systems and assist with field verification when needed.
- Respond to RFIs, submittals, design changes, and construction-related questions.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, drawing updates, and quality control standards.
- Mechanical engineering or mechanical design experience for commercial, institutional, educational, healthcare, government, or similar facility projects.
- Strong Revit experience for mechanical modeling and documentation.
- AutoCAD experience for drafting, detailing, and construction document support.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, MEP coordination, ductwork, equipment layouts, and building mechanical systems.
- Ability to perform load calculations and support equipment selection, schedules, and system layouts.
- Understanding of mechanical codes, construction documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- EIT preferred.
- Experience with commercial offices, schools, universities, healthcare facilities, municipal buildings, government facilities, or institutional projects.
- Familiarity with hydronic systems, ventilation design, energy codes, controls coordination, or plumbing coordination.
