Education And Experience RequirementsAssociate's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
2 years experience in inventory control, parts sales, or logistics support functions and document processing.
Position PurposeUnder general supervision, assists in the coordination of all logistics tasks as assigned by Management and/or the Program Office. Assignments involve departmental tasks related to processing the procurement and repair or replacement of material both in-house, at suppliers, or remote sites.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions- Support spares material requests utilizing available inventory at all locations. Pull, process, issue, and ship items with necessary paperwork.
- Process entity or inter-plant electronic transfers.
- Process backorder requests in accordance with current procedures. Track and report backorder progress. Fill orders as supply arrives. Finalize required paperwork and reports.
- Process in-house (shop made) item requests and update listings.
- Process/distribute Sales and Shipping Orders (SASO) and enter required shipping data.
- Routinely communicate with internal/external customers, remote sites, and corporate offices. Provide follow‑up and liaison support to remote sites for all logistics issues.
- Assist with program logistics or internal/external customer liaison as delegated by lead or manager.
- Perform and/or assist with special projects.
- Provide logistics support to programs such as C‑20, C‑37, CINC, Net Jets, SEMA, NOAA, and ESY.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).
The Airworthiness Inspector physically inspects aircraft, aircraft components, and reviews paperwork to ensure that workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality and that customer aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all required documentation properly completed and filed.
Minimum Requirements- High School graduate/GED.
- Airframe and Powerplant License required. Inspection Authorization Certification preferred.
- Five (5) years Gulfstream aircraft experience.
- Proficient in the utilization of Federal Aviation Regulations, FAA forms, and documents.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation, shop mathematics, and QC procedures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Government clearance at SECRET level.
- Responsible for all quality control inspections on aircraft/components in the Repair Station.
- Completes inspections of aircraft, engine, and component repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAA approved/acceptable data.
- Coordinates mechanical, electrical, and inspection requirements on the aircraft during maintenance or outfitting.
- Keeps accurate, neat, and legible records of the work performed on aircraft/components.
- Coordinates throughout assigned jobs with RTS to ensure accurate aircraft records are produced in a timely manner.
- Conducts audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion on all aircraft prior to approval for return to service.
- Ensures aircraft/components are airworthy prior to any flight activities.
- Mentors technicians on effective documentation.
- Communicates with management as required to identify work assignments and delivery schedules.
- Continually monitors repair station compliance with FAR Part 145 and the FAA accepted site Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.
- Completes FAA required conformity inspections and complies certification data for presentation to the FAA for approval.
- May include flight tests on aircraft as required in support of aircraft certification and final phase testing.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to prioritize tasks.
- Strong computer skills.
- Must be able to work all shifts.
Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small, restricted areas, and lift up to 40 lbs.
