Northrop Grumman Space Systems is a strategic partner specializing in delivering intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance solutions for classified and unclassified missions in space. As part of Eastern Region Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (ER-SEIT), you will have the opportunity to experience the entire space design lifecycle. We do it all here, on-site, from sensors to payloads to full up spacecraft, supporting Class A to Class D missions.
All the way from early mission and concept design to on-orbit operational support. At Northrop Grumman Space Systems we are at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and innovation in space-based systems. Our team is dedicated to developing advanced RADAR payloads that support critical missions and enhance our capabilities in space. We seek a motivated and skilled leader to oversee the assembly, integration, and testing phases of our RADAR payload production program.
The Assembly, Integration, and Test IPT (Integrated Product Team) Lead - Staff Engineer will oversee the AI&T process of space-based RADAR payloads which are comprised of an Electronically Scanned Array (ESA) and Processing Subsystem. This role involves managing the assembly, integration, and testing phases to ensure that the payloads meet performance and quality standards on cost and schedule. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
This position is on-site in Linthicum, MD.
Responsibilities include:
* Lead multi-discipline assembly integration and test effort toward rapid system development and integration.
* Develop System I&T documentation (System Integration and Test Plan, segment & compatibility test planning, test routers, etc.).
* Establish system test schedule, resource planning, and coordination across IPTs
* Coordinate with engineering and production teams to establish and implement effective processes and procedures for assembly and testing.
* Monitor and troubleshoot issues during the assembly and integration phases, providing timely resolutions to unforeseen challenges.
* Track progress and provide updates to management and stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and milestones.
* Train, mentor, and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
