Textron Systems is part of Textron, a multi‑industry company. This position is within the Electronic Systems Domain, supporting the Simulation and Training Team.
About This RoleThe Electronic Systems (ES) engineering team has an immediate opening for a mid‑senior level Systems Engineer to support the growing Simulation and Training Team. The systems engineer will design and develop engineering projects, deliver program commitments, and release capabilities to military customers. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, architecture design, systems integration, new product integration, and system test.
Responsibilities- Support full‑life cycle engineering design and development activities on ES programs.
- Perform requirements analysis, systems modeling (SYSML), trade studies, requirements derivation, design review support, integration planning, test, verification, risk management, and engineering analysis.
- Use technical acumen and problem‑solving skills to execute systems engineering tasks.
- Execute reviews of engineering work products to ensure technically accurate and quality work products.
- Generate subcontract statements of work and manage outside subcontractor performance.
- Prepare and present systems engineering work products to internal review teams and at program milestone reviews.
- Interact daily with program managers, planners, engineers, and technicians.
- Travel in support of project execution and testing as required, up to 15 %.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Physical Science with 2+ years related experience (systems or test engineering) or Master’s degree in Engineering with 1+ year related experience.
- Experience with hardware and/or software integration, managing requirements derivation and allocation, or architecture design.
- Experience with DOORS, JIRA, and Magic Draw (or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a DoD environment and model‑based systems engineering are preferred.
- Effective writing and presentation skills.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
- Active Secret Clearance preferred;
Secret eligibility required.

Pay range: $88,000 – $133,000 per year.
