A leading engineering firm is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to oversee transportation infrastructure projects from planning through final design. This role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring timely and budget-conscious project delivery, and maintaining strong collaboration with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead concept design studies, including traffic analyses.
• Prepare and revise construction documents (plans, specifications, estimates), reports, and milestone deliverables.
• Manage design and environmental permitting processes.
• Mentor and coordinate junior engineers and technicians.
• Conduct quality control reviews of design plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Organize and manage the delivery of project plans and specifications.
• Collaborate with clients, utility companies, permitting agencies, and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation design and project management.
• Experience with MDOT SHA and Maryland jurisdictions.
• Active PE license in Maryland (or ability to obtain a Virginia PE license within 6 months).
• Proficiency in:
• Traffic Engineering:
  Synchro, Vissim, Sidra
• Familiarity with permitting requirements for MDOT SHA and local government projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
