Mechanical Engineer - $75,000-$90,000 + Relocation Assistance
Baltimore, MD | Onsite
A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and delivery of building systems projects across commercial, institutional, and government sectors.
This onsite opportunity offers $75,000-$90,000 plus relocation assistance and is ideal for engineers looking to expand their experience across HVAC systems, utilities, energy efficiency projects, and complex facility infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Support all phases of mechanical engineering design from concept through construction
- Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and technical drawings
- Design and layout HVAC, utility, and mechanical systems
- Conduct code compliance reviews and engineering analyses
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams
- Participate in client meetings and project planning discussions
- Provide construction‑phase engineering support
- Assist with bid packages and contractor support activities
- Mentor and support junior technical staff as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program
- 2+ years of mechanical engineering design experience
- EIT certification or eligibility
- Knowledge of building mechanical systems and applicable codes
- Experience with Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- HVAC design experience
- Utility infrastructure experience
- Wastewater treatment project experience
- Commercial, institutional, or government project experience
- $75,000-$90,000 salary range
- Up to $2,500 relocation assistance
