Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Sr Engineering Technician to support production equipment maintenance and repair in our manufacturing facilities. This role requires knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electro‑mechanical systems and testing procedures. The position reports to a Principal Technician or Engineer, and works in a technical environment following company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Document and develop technical functions of low to high complexity related to tests, quality control, layout, manufacturing, modification and assembly of mechanical equipment and components.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, electro‑mechanical and testing tasks in manufacturing, quality, engineering, tests, and development areas.
- Build, inspect, calibrate and maintain equipment, components, artifacts and systems.
- Provide support to Principal Technicians or Engineers in discipline‑related matters.
- Follow standardized procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate laboratory and manufacturing equipment, perform environmental and safety training.
- Write technical reports with graphics and schemes describing system operations, deviations, and functional limitations.
- Troubleshoot systems, components, electrical equipment, and mechanical/hydraulic systems, isolating failures and implementing solutions.
- Document changes and ensure tools and testing equipment are calibrated and repaired per procedures.
- Support equipment and fixture quoting, installation, validation, and statistical process control (SPC) processes.
- Generate and support engineering change (ECO) submissions and clean room introduction processes.
- 4 to 6 years of experience, preferably in the medical products industry.
- High School, technical career or equivalent. Preferably trained in at least two of the following disciplines: electronics, mechanics, electro‑mechanics, testing, quality, production or process statistical control, bio‑medics, industrial.
- Basic ability to read and understand technical documentation.
- Knowledge of GMPs, ISO, preventive and corrective maintenance, documentation, calibration procedures and quality systems.
- Ability to use computers, related software, and measuring/testing equipment.
- English language proficiency 60% or higher.
- Experience with CPDM and internal documentation change systems is desirable.
- Accountability, communication, equipment maintenance, GMP, OSHA compliance, plant operations, predictive maintenance, problem management, process oriented, professional ethics, project management, repair management, report writing.
