WRA is seeking a Project Manager to join our Building Design Group in our Baltimore, MD office. Come join our collaborative team of engineers and architects on a variety of challenging projects, including high-performance buildings, industrial and manufacturing facilities, office environments, mission critical/secure spaces, historic preservation, and higher education. WRA has a strong mentoring culture and a focus on staff development.
Lead multidiscipline A/E teams through concept studies, final design, and construction phase services for clients across a broad range of markets, including DoD, Federal/Local Government and Industrial. Coordinate between disciplines, interface with project stakeholders, and manage quality control processes to ensure each project is successfully completed.
Responsibilities:
* Manage architectural projects through all phases of planning, design, documentation, bidding, and construction administration.
* Serve as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and project team members.
* Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, work plans, and staffing plans.
* Lead project meetings and coordinate activities among architects, engineers, planners, and specialty consultants.
* Monitor project performance to ensure quality, profitability, and adherence to client expectations.
* Review design and construction documents for technical accuracy, code compliance, and quality standards.
* Support contract negotiations, scope development, and proposal preparation.
* Assist in identifying and managing project risks and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
* Mentor junior architectural staff and provide technical guidance as needed.
* Participate in client presentations, stakeholder meetings, and project reviews.
* Support business development activities and maintain strong client relationships.
Required:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited institution.
* Minimum 16 years of architectural experience, including project management responsibilities.
* Demonstrated experience managing projects through all phases of design and construction.
* Strong understanding of building codes, permitting processes, and construction practices.
* Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and architectural design software.
Preferred:
* Professional License (PE, AIA, or RA) preferred
* DoD security clearance or ability to obtain clearance preferred.
