Inside Higher Ed is seeking a PREP Research Associate to join the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This role will focus on characterizing tornado loads and their effects on structures, analyzing data from tornado simulators, and developing performance-based design standards for structural design.
The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field, with strong experience in structural and wind engineering. They will also contribute to the development of a national database regarding tornado strikes.
