Senior Structural Engineer
Our Building Structures team is looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, MD. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of building and building-related structural projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural design and condition assessments for concrete, steel structures, and other structures.
- Develop complete construction documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Lead project teams and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
- Conduct and review QA/QC for calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications to ensure accuracy and code compliance.
- Plan workloads and manage structural task budgets and schedules.
- Maintain and build strong client relationships.
- Participate in all phases of design, including construction administration and bid phase services.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering, including field work and client interaction.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural design software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam/Adobe.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and deliver quality results on time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Structural Engineer (SE) license.
- NCEES registration and ability to obtain licensure in other states.
- RISA/RAM experience
Qualifications:
Education and/or Work Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field (AEC Industry)
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring engineering projects.
- Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Education and/or Work Experience Preferred:
- Master's Degree
Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations
Required:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
