Our team of forward thinking experts is totally committed to helping you.The Design Manager leads the design team in creating accurate engineering drawings for telecommunications infrastructure projects and fiber networks. You will balance hands‑on project production with high‑level team mentorship, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and budget goals.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Manage daily operations, delegate tasks, and mentor junior designers to ensure professional growth and high-quality output.
- Project Oversight: Lead the production of construction drawings, lease exhibits, and zoning plans. Ensure all designs are technically accurate and constructible.
- Quality Control: Perform QA/QC reviews on engineering drawings and maintain company CAD standards and templates.
- Technical Execution: Use AutoCAD and track site‑specific designs, traffic control plans, and utility profiles.
- Collaboration: Work with Market and Project Managers to allocate resources, troubleshoot performance issues, and meet scheduling deadlines.
- Field Coordination: Oversee and assist with field activities, including site surveys (IKE), mappings, and civil investigations.
- Experience: 5+ years in fiber design (new builds, site mods, or fiber) with a proven track record of managing project budgets.
- Technical
Skills:
Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office. Ability to interpret building codes. - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related technical field preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of right‑of‑way, aerial pole surveys, cable placement, and construction techniques.
- Leadership: Strong ability to work autonomously and manage a multidisciplinary team professionally.
