DescriptionAt Northrop Grumman, we invite talented engineers to join our Mission Systems Manufacturing Operations Test Engineering Team in Baltimore, MD. This role focuses on the performance and delivery of high‑performance RF, digital, and power hardware in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
What You’ll Do- Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.
- Support RF and digital hardware through troubleshooting, testing, and analysis.
- Maintain first‑time‑through‑test yield and hardware deliveries.
- Analyze test data to identify early trends and root causes.
- Compile data and define changes to testing equipment, procedures, manufacturing processes, or new requirements.
- Collaborate with design engineering to develop and implement hardware improvements.
- Train and support technicians in troubleshooting.
- Monitor product yields and work aggressively to maintain program targets.
- Participate in program meetings to report yield issues, investigate detractors, and propose corrective actions.
- Interface with manufacturing, test, production, design, systems engineering, and program teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field with at least 2 years of relevant experience; or master’s degree.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics, and block diagrams.
- Experience with power diodes, transistors, capacitors, and electrical circuitry.
- Proficient with high‑power test equipment including oscilloscope, power meter, spectrum analyzer, and signal generator.
- Experience troubleshooting power components and systems.
- Current, active DoD Secret clearance.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field with at least 5 years of relevant experience; or master’s degree with at least 3 years of experience.
- Experience reading and interpreting specifications, schematics, and block diagrams.
- Experience with power diodes, transistors, capacitors, and electrical circuitry.
- Proficient with high‑power test equipment including oscilloscope, power meter, spectrum analyzer, and signal generator.
- Experience troubleshooting power components and systems.
- Current, active DoD Secret clearance.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Advanced degree in engineering (power specific) or related STEM discipline.
- Ability to work with minimal direction and guidance.
- Experience troubleshooting complex circuitry at the system or component level.
- Experience with Lab Windows CVI, C/C++ programming, and test stand programming.
- Proficiency with digital, analog, power, RF test equipment, RF theory, and high‑speed digital.
- Knowledge of differential digital interfaces such as LVDS.
- Experience with PXI/PXIe and VME bus.
- Hands‑on troubleshooting of electrical hardware.

SalaryPrimary salary range: $85,400 – $128,000. Secondary salary range: $102,400 – $153,600. Salary is determined by scope of responsibilities and candidate qualifications.
