You’ll Get To Do
As an integral part of our Foundational Systems Engineering Team, you will be a key contributor to a program that is transforming concepts into real systems and working across disciplines while balancing new and traditional implementations of systems thinking. Some of our major development programs include sensors for current and next generation air and sea platforms: including EA-18 Growler, SEWIP, unmanned programs, and other restricted programs/missions.
- Application of systems engineering processes to develop systems that meet customer requirements.
- Management of requirements, including decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation.
- Support preparations, execution, and resolution of major system design reviews (e.g., PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), etc.).
- Work with product teams in different disciplines and domains to ensure compliance.
- Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements.
This position is contingent on contract award, the successful transfer of an active U.S. Government Secret clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access.
Basic Qualifications For Principal CORE Systems Engineer- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 1 year of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- A current/active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
- Experience in systems engineering, preferably in the aerospace or defense industries.
- Experience with system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow‑down, specification derivation, functional decomposition, and interface control documentation.
- Experience participating in major systems reviews, including SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, etc.
- Experience working through the systems engineering process.
- Proficient with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, CAMEO, MATLAB, or comparable software.
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a PhD with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- A current/active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
