Sr. Civil Engineer PE Baltimore, MD
We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer with a PE and design and project management experience with Land Development.
Position Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Civil Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and extensive experience in land development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site civil design, permitting, and project management, particularly within Anne Arundel County, MD. This role offers the opportunity to lead a variety of challenging land development projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage land development projects including residential, commercial, mixed-use, and institutional site design.
- Prepare, review, and approve civil engineering plans including grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and utility design.
- Oversee the permitting process and coordinate with local jurisdictions, including Anne Arundel County agencies and Maryland state entities.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and design staff.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
- Conduct site visits and attend client and public meetings as needed.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, surveyors, architects, and environmental consultants.
- Maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Maryland.
- 8–15 years of progressive experience in civil/site engineering with a focus on land development.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects in Anne Arundel County, MD is preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software.
- Strong understanding of local zoning, stormwater management regulations, and permitting processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior staff.
