We are looking for you to join our team as a Mechanical Engineer based out of Baltimore, MD.

The candidate for this position will join our Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) Engineering Team, within the Test Design Solutions Group, to develop solutions to support environmental, thermal, and vibration testing.

• Design, build and support equipment cooling, vibration, and system test designs
• Cross-collaborate with internal and external customers to gather requirements and provide solutions to meet those requirements
• Determine task schedules and levels of effort needed to meet program goals
• Communicate technical capabilities and risks associated with solutions to internal and external stakeholders

This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain an active U.S Government Secret Clearance or the successful transfer of an active US. Government Secret Clearance prior to start.

Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience, master’s degree with 0 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

• U.S Citizenship
• The ability to obtain/maintain an active US Government Secret Clearance prior to starting
• A current/active clearance is not required to be considered for the position, but a final clearance is required to start
• 1 year of experience with writing and maintaining design specifications
• 1 year of proficiency with mechanical CAD design tools such as Siemens NX, Solid Works, or similar
• 1 year of experience with test design, maintenance, and repair of cooling and vibration test systems
• 1 year of experience interpreting electrical schematics and interconnect diagrams

• Advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical fields.
• Active US Government Secret Clearance or higher
• Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
• Experience with designing cooling systems that use refrigerant and/or liquid cooling
• Experience with integration of hardware
• Experience with MIL-STD-810 (Environmental Test Methods)
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including experience presenting at design reviews and customer/stakeholder briefings
• Ability to obtain EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
