Expected salary range of $81,000 to $90,000
, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose Of Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Permit Specialist to oversee the acquisition of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing permits for all state and local counties. The ideal candidate must have an advanced understanding of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes. The Permit Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all company trade licenses, and insurance documentation are up-to-date and compliant with regulation.

This position requires working in an office setting with a team atmosphere.

This position is not a hybrid position.

Primary Duties And Accountabilities
  • Obtain, manage, and renew permits for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing projects across various state and local jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Maintain current and valid company trade licenses and accurate records of all permits and licenses.
  • Coordinate with project managers and contractors to ensure timely and complete permit acquisition.
  • Review incoming project submissions to verify permit readiness and alignment with company best practices and qualifications.
  • Monitor changes in permitting requirements and provide guidance to the team on permitting processes and regulatory updates.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with inspectors and jurisdictional authorities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven experience in permit management, preferably in the electrical, HVAC, and plumbing industries
  • Strong knowledge of state and local permit regulations and requirements
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in team environments
  • 10-years of experience in permit management or a trade-related role
  • Ability to manage, motivate, mentor, train, and coach individuals and teams to maximize performance
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications

Master's trade license in HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical
