About the Role
FES is seeking a Senior DDC Engineer / Programmer with deep technical expertise in building automation and control systems. This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines advanced programming, field commissioning, and project delivery with mentoring and client‑facing responsibilities.
You’ll lead complex projects, provide technical direction to technicians, and collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and service teams to deliver reliable, high-performance control solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Engineering Department to review and advise on control drawings and project submittals.
- Program, integrate, and commission DDC systems and field devices across multiple platforms.
- Ensure accurate operation of all building control sequences, alarms, trends, and archives.
- Develop and implement custom graphics for end-user interfaces.
- Train and mentor DDC technicians and provide system training for clients.
- Integrate BAS with third-party building systems (e.g., chillers, generators, lighting).
- Troubleshoot complex system and network issues (BACnet IP, MS/TP, LAN/WAN).
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, sequences of operation, and specifications.
- Prepare and deliver as-built documentation and support project turnover.
- Support both on-site commissioning and remote diagnostics as needed.
