Job Summary
Sports book Assistant Manager is responsible for effectively managing Sports book Ticket Writers in a high-performing, welcoming environment that is focused on customer service and compliance. The position assists with the scheduling of Ticket Writers to ensure full coverage of sports book terminals and generates opportunities to promote a positive image for Caesars Entertainment within the industry and community.
Responsibilities- Effectively manage and schedule Sports Book Ticket Writers to ensure full coverage of sports book terminals
- Place and replenish sheets/parlay cards
- Write compliance paperwork/MTLs
- Manage cash drops and cash replenishment
- Approve ticket cashing as determined by approval matrix and internal controls
- Assist in Reward card signup
- Maintain thorough knowledge of sport betting terminology to assist customers with placing wagers
- Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to on a daily basis
- Develop relationships with customers and ensure they feel welcomed
- Keep a par list of supplies for the Manager
- Provide support to Ticket Writers to handle customer complaints/disputes
- Assist in handling the day-to-day activities of a sports book
- Foster an environment focused on customer service and compliance
- Promote a positive image for Caesars within the industry and community
- 2+ years’ experience as a Sports Book Supervisor
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be confident in one’s ability to assess situations and make informed decisions
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage a diverse range of activities and effectively prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to obtain and/or be eligible for work authorization, regulatory licensing (where applicable)
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift, pull or push 25 lbs.
- Must be able write for extended periods of time
- Must be able to twist, bend or reach with no significant boundaries
- This position may be exposed to a smoke-filled environment
- From $50,000 yearly salary
- Bi-Weekly pay dates
