Customer Service Rep
Transit Ambassador
Work with Benesch! Our partner is seeking people on an on‑call basis in the Baltimore area to serve as Transit Ambassadors and make a positive impact on the community and the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA).
This is a temporary position. The role works for a third‑party contractor and does not include benefits.
Responsibilities- Assist MTA customers with disabilities to ensure equitable access to transit facilities.
- Direct customers as they enter or exit stations, board vehicles, or use fare vending machines.
- Inspect transit station facilities and take action to preserve cleanliness and safety.
- Provide customer service support during bus bridges/shuttles while construction is being performed on tracks or stations, and during road construction causing bus detours.
Pay rate: $17.53 per hour.
Pay range $17–$18/hour (Maryland Pay Transparency Law).
- 18 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Own a working cell phone with Wi‑Fi/data capability.
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours and up to 8–12 hours as needed.
- Competence using apps and willingness to learn the Transit App.
- Good customer service skills and readiness to interact with the public as the face of the company.
