Position Overview We are seeking an energetic, organized, and reliable Assistant Event Coordinator to support the Event Coordinator in planning, scheduling, and executing our diverse lineup of farm programs. This role is perfect for someone passionate about community, hospitality, and unique outdoor experiences. You will help oversee event staff, maintain top-tier facility standards, and ensure our guests have an unforgettable, safe experience on the farm.
Key Responsibilities Event Execution:
Assist in hosting and managing onsite programming, including barn rentals, birthday parties, educational workshops, classes, field trips, and summer sessions.
Team Leadership:
Support the scheduling, training, and on-site supervision of our event hosts and helpers using our internal communication systems.
Operational
Collaboration:
Maintain clear communication with other farm departments, including the snowball stand staff, equine team, and agricultural staff, to ensure seamless operations.
Facility Oversight:
Monitor public, operational, and animal-related spaces (barns, craft areas, restrooms) for exceptional cleanliness, organization, and safety.
Client Relations:
Deliver timely, professional communication to clients to help confirm booking details and coordinate setup needs.
Safety & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records, assist with inventory tracking, and promptly report any safety hazards or maintenance concerns to the Event Coordinator.
Hours and Availability Commitment:
Part-time, approximately 10–15 hours per week.
Seasonality:
Hours may be reduced during our slower winter months (January–March).
Schedule:
Weekend availability is strictly required, as you will actively oversee scheduled weekend events.
Qualifications Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions.
Ability to work independently and lead a small team of hosts/helpers in a dynamic, outdoor farm environment.
Comfortable working around farm animals and managing public crowds.
Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, agritourism, or recreation is a plus.
Compensation & Classification Type:
Seasonal position
Pay:
Bi-weekly pay via direct deposit based on documented hours.
Term:
Contract through December 31, 2026, with potential for renewal.
