Job Summary
Key job functions include counting, sorting, and organizing all money, coupons, chips, and paperwork from the drop boxes. The role also involves lifting and displaying empty drop boxes to surveillance personnel and/or fellow team members, retrieving drop boxes from the storage area, and appropriately storing all boxes. The position requires inserting and removing currency from counting machines, running the machines, strapping and hand-stamping money bundles, totaling all cash, chips, and coupons by shift and by day/date, and entering necessary information into the computer.
Additionally, the job entails loading appropriate boxes into carts and pushing/pulling carts to designated areas for transportation to the casino floor. When a slot machine is being played at the time of a coin drop, the role uses excellent guest service skills to assure the guest's satisfaction. The job also includes accounting for all keys used to perform slot machine drops, weighing/counting individual buckets and recording weighed buckets into the scale with proper machine numbers, verifying wrap totals, researching and explaining variances, pulling bill validator boxes, ensuring each box is accounted for before and after the drop, completing all paperwork accurately and delivering it to the appropriate department in a timely manner, and being responsible for the loading of coin/currency and count of dropped funds for all the casino floor ticket redemption kiosks.
The role counts slot operations blind drops, maintains the count room in a clean and orderly fashion, follows safety and security guidelines, and adheres to department procedures. It also involves performing emergency drops of bill validators.
Education and/or experience includes a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, with a minimum of 6 months previous money handling experience. Qualifications include previous experience in performing detailed work, literacy and fluency in basic English, excellent math skills, basic computer skills (basic word and excel skills are necessary), basic trouble-shooting skills, the ability to perform tasks with high efficiency and accuracy, above average organizational abilities for sorting money, chips, coupons, and other paperwork by table number, and the ability to work in a small area with the same people for extended periods of time.
