About the OpportunityJoin a small but rapidly growing industrial manufacturer that's expanding across the US with an exciting new product poised to surpass their original product line. This is a hands‑on VP of Finance role where you'll serve as a strategic partner to the President and private equity sponsor while rolling up your sleeves to manage day‑to‑day accounting/finance operations.
With just one other person in accounting/finance, you'll have the unique opportunity to build and shape the function while directly impacting the company's growth trajectory.

: This is a 100% on‑site position in Baltimore, MD. No remote or hybrid options available.
- Lead month‑end close functions including journal entries and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain annual budgets and multi‑year forecasts
- Analyze budget/forecast variances and financial trends
- Present quarterly financial updates to the Board of Directors
- Manage daily cash activities and capital distributions
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Monitor financial covenants in debt agreements and prepare quarterly compliance reports
- Maintain strong relationships with lenders
- Manage annual financial audits, including scheduling, documentation, and auditor interactions
- Serve as strategic financial advisor to the President and PE sponsor
- Evaluate potential acquisitions and lead integration efforts
- Partner with business leaders to develop process improvements and implement new technologies
- Drive efficiency in the accounting department through automation and best practices
- 8+ years of accounting and finance experience in a small company (under $30M revenue)
- Mix of accounting and FP&A experience
- Proven ability to serve as strategic partner to CEO/President
- Strong presentation and board communication skills
- Private equity‑backed business experience strongly preferred
- Experience working at a manufacturer desired
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Genuine desire to be part of a smaller, growing company
