Overview
Supervises the UMB/state and FPI/practice financial payroll functions and evaluates the payroll related activities of the department. Provides oversight of faculty and staff compensation and incentive calculations and monitoring. Identifies and mediates payroll related faculty/staff relations issues and recommends actions to address and resolve issues. Performs and directs general accounting and financial reporting activities. Reviews UMB/state and FPI/practice payroll procedures and makes recommendations to increase effectiveness and accuracy;
and other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
- Three to five years related payroll experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High level of initiative and ability to work independently
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
