Location: Hybrid – Baltimore, MD (3 days in office - Tues, Wed, Thurs)
Base Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000
Bonus - typically up to 10%
Seeking strong skills with Excel, and preferably experience with Power BI. Any VBA or python experience or training would help but not required.
Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Finance, Mathematics, or an equivalent degree. Not required but certainly helpful.

This organization operates in the energy and utilities space, supporting grid reliability through market-based programs and customer-sited resources. The company works with commercial, industrial, and institutional partners across North America to support participation in regulated programs while improving operational and financial outcomes.
The Operations Analyst will join a team responsible for enrollments, settlements, and payments, serving as a subject matter expert for assigned markets. This role requires strong analytical skills, independent problem-solving ability, and effective communication with stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership. Continuous review and improvement of processes is expected as systems and tools evolve.
This role is primarily hybrid, with an expectation of in-office presence three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday. Remote consideration may be available based on location and experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Enroll assets in regulated markets and manage settlement and test event activities
- Monitor and report on asset and portfolio-level performance and compliance
- Calculate and submit customer payments with a high degree of accuracy
- Support and contribute to system, workflow, and process improvement initiatives
Collaborate with internal teams to respond to audit and data requests from external entities - Analyze and report financial impacts of operational activities for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop customized customer reporting and assist with executive-level summaries as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as Finance, Economics, Management, or a related discipline (technical or engineering degrees may also be considered)
- Advanced degree in a business-related field preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with VBA and/or Python is a plus
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to apply them to real-world business problems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Industry experience in energy or utilities is a plus, but candidates from other regulated, data-intensive, or operations-focused industries with strong analytical and operational skills are strongly encouraged to apply
