Risk Manager/Analyst
Job Purpose
Ensures most effective credit limit service in terms of quality of decision, turnaround time and communication towards customers. Attracts new customers or prospects by quality of service and underwriting decisions. Builds a trustee relationship with customers to improve customer portfolio profitability.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Engage with and build strong relationships with the Commercial department to drive new business development while following the Regional underwriting strategy; build relationships with other core functions.
- Manage a portfolio of high‑value clients to drive increased retention and galvanize the customer relationship, which may require travel on an as‑needed basis.
- Decide credit limit requests consistently within response time delays included in the Risk Business model by assessing the buyer with all information available and his/her own market knowledge.
- Monitor the risk portfolio by requesting further information to the Risk office, according to Information Quality Standards.
- Contribute to supporting Commercial in steering customer loss ratio and implement necessary actions to ensure or restore portfolio profitability.
- Actively lead and manage transversal projects to develop and enhance the Credit Underwriting department.
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance or a related discipline; advanced degree, MBA or MS Finance preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in financial management. Experience in banking, credit insurance brokerage or a credit insurance environment preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, with an understanding of financial software and spreadsheet packages.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Ability to build long‑term customer relationships, even in a context of restrictive decisions and a deteriorating market.
- Strong planning, organizational and workflow prioritization skills.
- Strong communicator, able to convince others of decisions taken; able to hold visits and contacts including difficult meetings with high‑profile seniors.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Looking for candidates that possess a basic awareness of Artificial Intelligence technologies and are enthusiastic about learning and integrating AI into everyday business processes.
- Knowledge of (Generative) Artificial Intelligence, GenAI, or AI.
- Data Analysis experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot.
- Experience with ChatGPT.
Total compensation range: $150,000 - $180,000. Placement within the range is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one component of the overall compensation package.
