Corporate Summer Internship Program- Investment Banking: Financial Sponsors Group

Recruitment process for this role will begin in June 2026, for a June 2027 start date. Investment Banking is headquartered in Baltimore, MD.

Summer Interns complete a 10‑week internship focused on professional development, career growth, and building the necessary skills to succeed. Interns participate in projects and department initiatives that accelerate career growth and play an important role in building the future of the Bank. As an Intern, you will gain exposure to other departments through guest speakers and industry leaders, a built‑in network with peers, and priority consideration for full‑time opportunities throughout the Bank.

• Complete duties and responsibilities of an entry‑level professional nature specific to the assigned area of the Bank.
• Ensure activities adhere to established internal policies and external regulations as applicable.
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
• Identify risk‑related issues needing escalation to management.
• Design, implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

The jobholder works under immediate supervision.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0.

$18.00 – $28.00 per hour.
