Our client is a national private equity firm launching a Baltimore office. The firm takes a flexible, long-term investment approach and partners closely with operators, entrepreneurs, and management teams to evaluate opportunities, execute transactions, and build long-term value across its portfolio.

The firm is seeking an Investment Associate to join its investment team. This person will be involved across the full investment lifecycle, including evaluating new opportunities, building financial models, conducting due diligence, supporting transaction execution, monitoring portfolio companies, and researching new investment themes.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate new investment opportunities through financial modeling, valuation, and company research
  • Prepare investment memos, presentations, diligence materials, and internal analyses
  • Support due diligence across financial, commercial, operational, and market work streams
  • Assist with transaction execution, including LOIs, term sheets, transaction documents, and closing materials
  • Monitor portfolio company performance through reporting, valuation support, board materials, and ongoing analysis
  • Conduct market and industry research to identify attractive investment themes
  • Support sourcing, pipeline management, and relationship‑building efforts
Qualifications
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, transaction advisory, valuation, accounting, or a related finance role
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, and research skills
  • Strong writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • High attention to detail and sound judgment
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment
  • Intellectually curious, self‑motivated, entrepreneurial, and team-oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in finance, accounting, economics, business, or another analytical field
