Job Description

We are inviting applications for the role of VP/Director of Finance in our organization within the private medical industry, located in BALTIMORE, Maryland. This is a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and directing financial planning and structures.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the financial operations within the organization, including the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems.
  • Direct the company's financial planning and structure, ensuring the alignment with the organization's goals.
  • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans and manage the capital request and budgeting processes.
  • Develop financial and tax strategies and manage the organization's budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Oversee the month‑end close process and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.
  • Manage and oversee the organization's grant accounting processes, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the organization's non‑profit accounting activities, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Manage the organization's finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Utilize Quick Books Online for various financial operations and reporting.
  • Develop and implement strategies for financial growth and sustainability.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Grant Accounting and Non‑profit Accounting.
  • Skilled in using Quick Books Online for various financial tasks.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Month End Close procedures.
  • Strong skills in Budgeting and Forecasting.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to develop and implement financial strategies effectively.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • CPA or relevant qualification is highly desirable.
