Senior Relationship Manager – Mid‑Market
The Senior Relationship Manager Mid‑Market (Sr RM) supports tax‑exempt retirement plans (government and non‑profit) with assets typically ranging from $35 to $150 million. The Sr RM serves as the central point of business contact for assigned plan sponsor relationships and works with both clients and internal personnel. The role is based in the Mid‑Atlantic region and requires occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and retain client relationships, identifying solutions to enhance overall satisfaction and reduce risk of client loss.
- Participate in new business finals presentations, client site visits, and manage client expectations from the sales process through the relationship lifecycle.
- Conduct client meetings with internal SMEs and service teams to provide expertise in plan design, funding, administration, participant communications, compliance, fiduciary governance, and industry trends.
- Deliver periodic plan statistical, regulatory/legislative, and industry trending presentations to clients via video conference and in person.
- Identify signs of client satisfaction or dissatisfaction and work to positively influence client perspectives.
- Navigate governance structures (e.g., Business Acceptance Committee).
- Communicate ideas and messages clearly and succinctly.
- Articulate our value proposition, participant and plan sponsor experience, and relationship‑management value proposition.
- Provide timely, effective, and comprehensive management reporting on plan health and opportunities.
- Understand revenue and expense variables associated with client relationships.
- Understand capital markets and our proprietary investment‑management products and services.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and proactively manage client expectations.
- Ability to travel for client and prospective client meetings, internal team development, and training.
- Excellent time management, project management, critical thinking, and decision‑making skills.
- Customer focus and ability to build collaborative partnerships.
- Ability to work independently and be a resourceful self‑starter.
- Mandatory FINRA Series 6 & 63 registrations within established timelines.
- Mandatory FINRA fingerprint required.
- Base Salary Range: $ – $ (location dependent).
- Non‑sales positions may participate in a company bonus program; sales positions are eligible for sales incentives and potential bonus plans.
