Private Credit Associate - Mezzanine

A leading private investment firm is looking to add a Private Credit Associate to its investment team in Baltimore. The team focuses on providing flexible credit solutions, including senior debt, unitranche, and mezzanine financing, to middle-market businesses across a range of industries.

This role offers broad exposure to the full investment lifecycle, from evaluating new lending opportunities and structuring transactions to portfolio management and ongoing monitoring.

• Evaluate new private credit and mezzanine investment opportunities.
• Build detailed financial models to assess credit risk, leverage, cash flow, and debt capacity.
• Perform financial, commercial, and operational due diligence on prospective investments.
• Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to the investment committee.
• Assist with structuring transactions, negotiating financing terms, and reviewing legal documentation.
• Monitor existing portfolio investments, including financial performance, covenant compliance, and overall credit quality.

• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, private credit, direct lending, mezzanine investing, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of credit analysis, capital structures, and leveraged finance.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
