Growing manufacturing organization is seeking a strategic and hands‑on Vice President of Finance to lead the company's financial operations and serve as a key member of the executive leadership team. This role is responsible for driving financial strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and providing the insights needed to support continued growth and profitability.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with a strong background in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, financial planning, and operational analysis. This individual will partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to improve financial performance, optimize processes, and support strategic decision‑making.
Responsibilities- Lead all aspects of the company's finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, treasury, tax, and internal controls.
- Develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth and long‑term profitability.
- Provide timely financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial planning initiatives.
- Manage manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory controls.
- Partner with operations to improve margins, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational performance.
- Lead cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, financing activities, and working capital management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, audits, and financial reporting requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls, financial processes, and risk management practices.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing finance and accounting team.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, capital investments, and other strategic initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
- Progressive financial leadership experience, including experience as a Controller, Director of Finance, or Vice President of Finance.
- Manufacturing industry experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing financial reporting.
- Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and strategic analysis.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial compliance.
- Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Proven ability to influence executive leadership through data‑driven decision making.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team development skills.
