Savano Capital Partners recently closed Fund IV with more than $250 million in commitments, and we are growing our investment team. We are hiring a full-time Investment Associate in our Baltimore office to help us find, evaluate, and close our next investments in late-stage software and technology companies.
This is a true 50/50 seat. Half your time goes to sourcing new opportunities and building relationships with founders, executives, and investors. The other half goes to execution: diligence, financial modeling, and investment memos. You will sit in investment committee meetings from day one and work directly with our partners on a team of about ten people.
About SavanoSavano is a direct secondaries firm that invests in leading late-stage software and tech companies.
Founders, early employees, and early investors often wait a decade or longer for an exit. We provide them liquidity by purchasing minority stakes, typically $10-$30 million per company. We think and operate like a growth equity investor, using secondary transactions as our way into high-quality companies.
Fund IV gives us our largest pool of capital to date and the opportunity to continue expanding our investment platform.
What you'll do- Source new investment opportunities. Most of our deal flow comes from proactive outreach, and you will own meaningful company and relationship coverage from the start.
- Build lasting relationships with growth-stage companies, founders, executives, employees, and investors across the technology ecosystem.
- Manage our investment pipeline and CRM. We typically have 40 to 50 active opportunities under evaluation at any given time.
- Drive investment diligence, including company and industry analysis, competitive landscape research, financial modeling, valuation analysis, and investment memo preparation.
- Monitor and support portfolio companies, including reviewing financial performance, market developments, and potential follow-on investment opportunities.
- Contribute to internal initiatives that improve our sourcing engine, data, technology, and investment processes.
- 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, or venture capital.
- A strong foundation in accounting and finance, with the ability to model company financials and perform valuation analysis.
- Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, a strong work ethic, and close attention to detail.
- The confidence and communication skills to develop relationships with executives, shareholders, investors, and other market participants.
- Based in Baltimore or willing to relocate. Ties to Maryland or the broader Mid-Atlantic region are a plus.
Candidates can expect three conversations with members of the investment team, followed by a case study in which they present a company or transaction they already know well. Finalists will then spend a day with the team in our Baltimore office.
