I’m partnering with a leading global asset management firm that is seeking an Investment Risk Manager focused on Equities to join their team in Baltimore, MD or New York, NY.
This is an opportunity to join a highly respected investment organization with a global platform, sophisticated investment strategies, and a strong commitment to innovation within its risk function. The Equity Risk team plays a critical role in providing independent oversight, partnering closely with portfolio managers and senior investment leaders to identify key risk drivers and enhance portfolio decision-making.
Responsibilities- Analyze equity portfolio risks across factors including sector, style, country, market capitalization, concentration, and liquidity
- Partner with portfolio managers and investment teams to provide independent risk insights and challenge assumptions around portfolio exposures
- Interpret quantitative risk analytics and communicate findings to senior stakeholders
- Support enhancements to risk frameworks, dashboards, and analytical capabilities
- Leverage tools such as Aladdin, Barra, Python, Power BI, or similar platforms to improve risk monitoring and reporting
- 10+ years of experience within asset management, investment risk, equity research, or related investment functions
- Strong understanding of equity markets, portfolio construction, and risk analytics
- Experience with factor analysis, volatility, tracking error, portfolio attribution, or risk decomposition
- CFA, FRM, or similar investment/risk credentials preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and investment teams
Baltimore, MD (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

Compensation: $150K - $215K base salary dependent on experience
