Position OverviewThe Office of the Provost is seeking a Senior Grants and Contracts Specialist to provide comprehensive pre- and post-award administrative and financial support. This role serves as a key member of the Shared Services Center, managing research-related accounts and ensuring the success of the university's research mission.

Responsibilities- Proposal Support:
Partner with Faculty to develop budgets and navigate the grant submission and routing process. - Financial Oversight:
Perform complex account reconciliations, manage sub-awards, and process budget revisions. - Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct recurring financial analysis and forecasting to provide faculty and leadership with strategic fiscal insights. - Collaborative Liaison:
Act as a primary point of contact between faculty, central administrative offices, and external collaborators.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor's degree required. A degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred to support the technical demands of the role. - Experience:
Three years of progressive experience in grant administration, budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in financial analysis, reconciliation, and managing complex analytical responsibilities.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree specifically in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Direct experience with Kuali and ticketing systems.
- Prior experience in higher education, administration, particularly within a shared services center or central office environment.
- Proven ability to lead fiscal meetings and provide high-level forecasting and projections for departmental leadership and faculty.

Salary: $77,500 to $87,000 depending on qualifications and experience. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
