Private Equity Valuation Associate

LHH is supporting a private equity firm in their search for a Valuation Associate to support the assessment, monitoring, and reporting of portfolio valuations. Working alongside investment, operations, and leadership teams, this individual will play a key role in translating complex financial and operating information into actionable insights that support investment decision-making and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will offer 4+ years of experience in valuation, transaction services, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or a related corporate finance function.

• Analyze portfolio company financial and operational data to evaluate performance trends, business drivers, and valuation impacts.
• Prepare and maintain valuation models for a variety of investment structures, including debt, equity, and other complex securities.
• Partner with investment professionals and internal stakeholders to support fair value determinations across the portfolio.
• Assist in the preparation of valuation reports, management presentations, and other materials used by leadership and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external auditors and independent valuation specialists during periodic review processes.
• Monitor relevant market activity, economic conditions, and industry developments that may influence portfolio performance.
• Support the enhancement of valuation methodologies, reporting processes, and internal governance frameworks.
• Identify emerging risks, inconsistencies, or performance issues and communicate findings to senior team members.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects, investor-related requests, and cross-functional initiatives as needed.

• 4+ years of experience in valuation, investment banking, transaction advisory, consulting, corporate finance, or a related analytical role.
• Demonstrated experience building and reviewing detailed financial models.
• Strong understanding of valuation techniques and financial statement analysis.
• Ability to distill large volumes of quantitative and qualitative information into clear conclusions.
  
  Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across multiple business functions.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.

This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the base salary range is estimated to be $135,000 to $165,000 and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
