Investment Banking Internship – Fall

Vault Advisors, a boutique investment bank providing M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory services to middle-market companies, is seeking an Investment Banking Intern for Fall 2026
.

Our interns are integrated directly into deal teams and gain hands‑on exposure across the transaction lifecycle, from preparing companies for market and developing transaction materials to identifying and engaging prospective buyers and investors, supporting due diligence, and assisting through transaction closing.

This internship is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in investment banking who want meaningful transaction experience, direct exposure to senior bankers and executives, and the opportunity to take on significant responsibility in a fast‑paced environment.

Over the course of the twelve-week program, interns will work directly alongside Vault Advisors' investment banking team on a variety of live M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements.

Interns will gain experience across financial analysis, valuation, market and industry research, transaction execution, client materials, and business development. Unlike internships focused primarily on training exercises, our interns are expected to contribute directly to active client engagements and internal strategic initiatives.

The program provides significant exposure to senior members of the firm and company executives, offering interns an opportunity to develop both the technical and interpersonal skills required for a career in investment banking.

• Analyze historical and projected company financial performance
• Assist with financial modeling, valuation analysis, and transaction‑related analysis
• Conduct company, industry, and market research
• Perform business and transaction due diligence
• Prepare Confidential Information Memoranda, management presentations, teasers, and other client marketing materials
• Develop buyer, investor, and acquisition target research
• Assist with preparation of pitch books and new business development materials
• Participate in client, investor, buyer, and internal deal team meetings
• Support transaction execution and due diligence processes
• Analyze industry trends, competitive landscapes, and relevant transaction activity
• Assist with outreach initiatives and the development of prospective client and investor relationships
• Work directly with senior bankers on live engagements and strategic initiatives

• Current undergraduate or graduate student with a demonstrated interest in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or related fields
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Understanding of fundamental accounting, finance, and valuation concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a deal team
• Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to take initiative
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Prior experience in finance, accounting, consulting, investing, or transaction advisory is helpful but not required
