**** Job Summary
** The Crime Records Processor is the primary person responsible for data entry of all criminal, traffic, FTA, Hospital, and recalled warrants for the Baltimore City Police Department. And all related administrative warrant data and paperwork.  
** Essential Functions
** Crime Records Processor is responsible for entering, and auditing all Baltimore City warrants and related criminal records within the Records Management Section. This position ensures the accuracy and proper entry of warrants into the METERS/NCIC system and BPD’s databases.
** Minimum Qualifications
***
* Education:

** Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a GED.
** AND
* **
* Experience:

** Have two years of experience in a law enforcement records unit or courthouse records or two years of experience working with and entering sensitive data.
** OR
* *** Equivalency Notes:
** Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*** Ability to review and interpret criminal data.
* Ability to understand and analyze sensitive criminal records.
* Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
* Strong research and analytical skills, ability to manage large volumes of data, and strong organizational skills.
* Familiarity with criminal justice databases and record-keeping systems.
* organizational skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive information, work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to communicate effectively.
** Additional Information
**** Background Check
** Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint screening and must be successfully completed.
** Probation
* * All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a choose a term mandatory probation.
