About the Role

Full‑time Inspector at the Cox Creek Dredged Material Containment Facility near Curtis Bay, Maryland. The position is responsible for conducting field inspections of activities carried out by MES, contractors, and clients to ensure compliance with operational and environmental requirements.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and operating spillways
  • Conducting facility inspections
  • Preparing reports
  • Performing routine facility maintenance
Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from a standard high school or GED and one year of general work experience (two years of related education beyond high school may substitute for the required work experience)
  • Ability to pass a standard physical examination
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license with less than 5 points
Physical & Additional Requirements
  • Shift work including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays during certain operational periods
  • Overtime may be required
  • Travel and temporary assignments at other MES facilities within the Baltimore metropolitan area may also be required

Compensation

Estimated pay range: $45,666.23 - $62,791.65.

Additional Information

The position will be open until filled. This position is eligible for on‑spot, contingent offers. Candidates who apply after an on‑spot offer has been extended will not be considered unless the original candidate does not complete the process to become an MES employee.

Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre‑employment screens, including a full background check, drug and alcohol screening, and a position‑appropriate physical.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. MES does not participate in programs that require sponsorship for work visas.
