Essential Functions
- Serves as primary lead on the management of all investigations surrounding equal opportunity or diversity related complaints, claims of discrimination based on a protected class, claims of harassment based on a protected class or characteristics, and coordination with the EEOC for all external complaints regarding discrimination
- Supervises a team of departmental members to complete all investigations of BPD members for claims of harassment, discrimination or EEOC complaints and reviews the work product to ensure all investigations are completed
- Serves as a senior advisor to the Police Commissioner on all Departmental matters related to policies that impact diversity, equity, claims of retaliation, or discrimination
- Coordinates with Deputy Commissioners and the Chief of Staff to ensure that the goals set forth in the Police Commissioner's strategic vision for the Department are being implemented
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
OR
Equivalency Notes:
Have an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of laws related to Title VII-Civil Rights Act
- Use of Office products-Excel, Word, Outlook

Probation
