The Program Director, Army position within Maryland's Department of Commerce Office of Military Federal Affairs coordinates Army and National Guard economic development initiatives across the state. The role monitors federal and state actions affecting military installations, promotes Army missions, engages with defense stakeholders, and manages defense-related grants to support business opportunity and job creation. This is a 32-hour-per-week contractual position based in Baltimore.
Keyqualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or related field
- Five years' program management or professional work experience, including four years with defense programs
- U.S. Army military service as Field Grade Officer (O-4 to O-6), Senior Warrant Officer (CW4-CW5), or Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (E-8 to E-9)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or similar software
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
- Ability to interact professionally with senior defense and elected officials
