General Summary of Position
Coordinates and instructs training programs for healthcare professionals.
Qualified candidates must hold a current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor certification and maintain all requirements to remain authorized to teach American Heart Association courses.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
* Assists in the clinical and marketing efforts of the Clinical Simulation Center.
* Maintains instruction/training aids and equipment.
* Participates in other quality education programs for healthcare providers including Code Blue Preparedness In Situ Advanced refresher courses and conferences.
* Plans and instructs Continuing Education Courses for healthcare professionals and lay rescuer within the AHA guidelines.
* Plans coordinates and instructs AHA advanced courses including but not limited to Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or AAP/AHA NRP courses.
Minimal Qualifications
Education
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Credentialed by relevant professional association required
Experience
* 1-2 years Related teaching experience required
* One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
Licenses and Certifications
* CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
* Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
* Health Services CLS INSTRC - ACLS Instructor current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS required or
* Health Services ALS INSTRC - PALS Instructor PALS instructor certification if supporting ALS training program required

This position has a hiring range of
USD $28.20 - USD $47.30 /Hr.
