Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Home Care Maryland
Location: Baltimore County & Baltimore City, Maryland
Position Overview: Home Care Maryland is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home physical therapy services to patients. In this role, you'll work under the ongoing supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to help patients achieve their goals for mobility and independence in the comfort of their homes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct therapy services in the home setting based on patient assessments and goals set by the Physical Therapist.
- Instruct and assist patients and their caregivers in various therapeutic interventions such as: positioning, ROM (Range of Motion), transfer training, gait training, neuro reeducation, home safety education, and more.
- Collaborate closely with patients/caregivers to ensure progress and meet established care goals.
- Document and report patient progress and changes in status to the supervising Physical Therapist and clinical team.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with other staff to ensure that all patient needs are met.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment for patients, following infection control procedures.
- Follow Home Care Maryland’s policies and ensure adherence to federal and state regulations regarding patient care and confidentiality.
- Current Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant License
- AHA BLS CPR Required
- Experience in home care or outpatient therapy settings is preferred, but not required.
