The Medical Progressive Care Unit is a 21-bed high‑acuity step‑down unit caring for critically ill adult medical patients. The patient population includes complex organ diseases, requiring mechanical ventilation, vasoactive drips, and continuous monitoring. Common medical diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, GI bleeding, liver failure, and DKA. This is a highly skilled floor from which new staff will gain instrumental experience. Nurse‑to‑patient ratios are 2:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity.

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
- One year of clinical experience (home care, outpatient, acute care, hospital preferred).
- BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.

Salary Range: Minimum $18.41/hour – Maximum $27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
