As an Optometric Technician, you will support Doctors of Optometry in preparing patients for visits, conducting preliminary testing, and ensuring a smooth flow through the office.

The wage range for this position is $17.15 to $22.20 per hour, commensurate with experience and office location. The company complies with all state and local wage and hour laws and the minimum pay will always be at or above the applicable minimum wage.

Some weekend and evening shifts may be required.

• Consult with patients, accurately document existing conditions and complaints, and chart medical history to prepare for the optometrist exam.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the doctor and additional office staff throughout the appointment.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures they will encounter during the appointment.
• Use pre‑test equipment to perform visual screenings after company training.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team members to provide a seamless patient experience.

• High school diploma or GED with the ability to understand/do basic math.
• Personable, patient, andvice to comfort patients during the screening process.
• Detail‑oriented and willing to work closely with the optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player who provides the best patient experience.
• Prior healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training will be provided.
