Position Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist specializing in Acute-Care
:
- Works under the direct supervision of the Team Coordinator and/or Clinical Specialist, and leadership of the Rehab Therapy Services Team Leader and/or Inpatient or Outpatient Manager
- Uses objective evaluation techniques to assess the Speech, Language, Cognitive, Voice and Swallowing limitations and medical condition of patients
- Prescribes and implements a treatment program which is designed to return patients to their maximum level of function.
- Work collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes
- Promotes improvement in service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care.
- Incorporates and operationalizes the goals and objectives of the organization
- Completion of a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited academic program
- Licensure from State of Maryland, ASHA certification, Current AHA Health Care Provider CPR certification.
- Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required.
Casual/On-call Per Diem
Experience- Completion of Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship
- Experience in Hospital acute care setting
Minimum $51.00/hour - Maximum $51.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
