MISHA House, LLC is a Addiction Outpatient Treatment facility in Central West Baltimore who is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, dedicated, reliable and compassionate individuals with Addiction Counseling experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role to support the needs and concerns of individuals who seek to experience a better quality of living with guidance to overcome obstacles associated with addiction recovery.
This position involves completion of comprehensive assessments, individualized treatment plan development, individual and group counseling, implementing therapeutic interventions to facilitate recovery, and other duties as assigned. This individual will work to promote transformative lifestyle development, improve cognitive functioning and increase the self-efficacy of the persons served.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' needs and develop person-centered treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions through individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention, Couples & Family Therapy, Relapse Prevention & Peer Recovery Support.
- Implement behavior management strategies to assist with the development of behavioral changes and manage symptoms associated with maladaptive and anti-social behaviors.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and timely documentation in compliance with Maryland COMAR Regulations and CARF Accreditation Standards.
- Collect and analyze data related to client progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay informed about new developments in behavioral health therapy to provide the highest quality of care.
- Must hold an active ADT, CSC-AD, CAC-AD
- A background in addiction counseling and/or mental health therapy is preferred, with experience in diagnostic evaluation, ASAM placement, client intervention, continuity of care, justice involved supervision and cognitive behavioral therapy being highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and data collection methods is essential.
- Experience working with diverse populations, to include individuals with co-occurring disorders.
- Knowledge of clinical authorization submission through the Maryland ASO for Medicaid reimbursable services.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling skills that enhance the effectiveness of interventions provided.
